Aliss M. Horne, of Ballance, is visiting Airs E. Stuckey, Alauchester Street, Feilding. At yesterday’s meeting of the Alanawatu County Council, Cr. , D. AV. Reid was re-appointed the council’s representative on the electoral committee of the Feilding Agricultural High School.

NOTES. An increase in the number of unemployed in Feilding to 1200 was shown this week, the number on the register now being as high as on any previous occasion. The greater number of the men are employed on borough relief work, while some are engaged on work provided by the Oroua and Alanawatu County Councils. Basketball matches played in Feilding on Saturday resulted as under: —High School A 23 v. High School C. 9; Old Girls 7 v. High School B. 12; Cheltenham 13 v. High School A 18; High School B 16 v. St. John’s 18; Old Girls 14 v. High School C 18.
