Parcels are firm at 9d to Is 3d dearer. Futures: —London: September, 23s 4}d; December, 24s lOd per quarter. Liverpool: October, 5s 10|d; December, 6s ljd; March, 6s 3Jd per cental. The spot trade is quiet. Australian, ex ship, 28s 6d to 295. Flour is firm. Australian, ex store, 19s to 20s. Barley is harder to buy. Australian Chevalier, August-September, 28s to 325; landed, 26s 9d. Peas and beans are unchanged. MELBOURNE MARKETS. Received August 3, 11.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, Aug. 3. Wheat is firm, buyers asking 3s s}d. Flour is £9 15s, bran, £4 ss, and pollard £4 15s per ton. Oats, 2s 3d to 2s 3jd; barley (English), 2s 6d to 2s 9d; maize, 3s 6d to 3s 7d per bushel. Onions are in moderate demand at £6 15s, to £7 per ton. The pool price is £7 2s 6d.
