DISCUSSION AT GISBORNE. GISBORNE, July 23. A lengthy discussion on details of the Railway Board’s report took place at a meeting of the Gisborne Railway Committee. The Mayor (Mr J. Jackson) presided. The discussion on the report is understood to have revealed good grounds for a further approach to the Government, and the committee defined its attitude on various phases of the report, and on the railway question in general in preparation for the conference at Wairoa.
