DAVIS CUP TENNIS.
THE DRAW ANNOUNCED

The draw for the inter-zone final of the Davis Cup contest between Australia and the United States on Saturday is as follows : —Cra.wford versus Shields; McGrath versus Wood. On Monday Crawford and Quist will play Lott and Stoefen. On Tuesday, in tho second singles, Crawford will meet Wood and McGrath will play Shields.

In the quarter-final of the Frinton tennis tournament, A. C. Stedman (New Zealand) boat Freshwater, 5 —7, 6—4, 6—o. In the Anglo-Japanese match at Eastbourne, Perry beat Fujikura, 6 —l. 2—C 6 —4, 10—8, and Austin beat Yamagislii, 6 —l, 6 —l, 6 —2.

MELBOURNE, July 19.
The Lawn Tennis Association of Australia has received advice that the Czechoslovakian tennis player, R. Menzel, intends to visit Australia.
