SANDON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON, June 13. A meeting of the Scout Committee was held last Wednesday night, Mr A. K. Drew presiding. Mr Drew in opening the meeting said the troop had been unfortunate. They had lost the scoutmaster (Mr I. A. Cockburn) soon after forming tho troop, and measles had hindered progress. Rev. It. E. Fordyce had consented to accept the position of scoutmaster. It was resolved that the name of Mr Fordyce be forwarded to the commissioner for approval. Mr 0. T. Francis said that tho committee were fortunate in having a capable assistant scoutmaster in Mr Denis Anderson. Mr F. W. Tostevin endorsed tiie remarks of Mr Francis and a hearty vote ’of thanks was carried unanimously. Tho place of meeting was discussed and it was decided to accept the offer of the Anglican Sunday school. Mr Drew said lie would donate tho cost, of rent for the first month. Mr F. W. Tostevin was appointed first aid instructor and Mr 0. T. Francis instructor for Morse signalling. Tho question of finance was discussed and it was decided to hold a concert early in August if possible.
