CHANGES ANNOUNCED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) * (British Official Wireless.) Received June 19, 10.53 a.in. RUGBY, June 18. The Dominions Office announces that Sir Cecil Rodwell, Governor of Southern Rhodesia, has been granted permission to retire in December next, when he will have completed 35 years’ service under the Crown. The King has approved of the appointment of Sir Herbert Stanley to succeed Sir Cecil Rodwell. Sir Herbert Stanley lias, since 1931, held the post of High Commissioner for South Africa and High Commissioner in the Union of South Africa for the Government of the United Kingdom. Sir William Clark, High Commissioner in Canada for the Government of the United Kingdom, has been selected to fill the position in succession to Sir Herbert Stanley. It has been decided that on assumption by Sir William Clark of his new posts the title of the first of these posts, namely High Commissioner for South Africa, should be altered to that of His Majesty’s High Commissioner for Basutoland, the Beeliuanland Protectorate, and Swaziland.
