Hockey fixtures and referees for W ednesday are as follow: Men’s senior.—C.O.B. v. Palmerston North, Sportsground No. 2, 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Chapman aiid Cliffe); P.D.O. v. Massey College, Sportsground No. 1, 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Blackbourn and Wilton) • Phoenix v. Broadway, Sportsground No. 3, 3 p.m. (Messrs McLachlan and Brown); Combined Serives v. Feilding, Park Road No. 2, at 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Voss and Gerrand).. Juniors.—Broadway v. Combined Services, Park Road No. 1,. 3 p.m. (Messrs Wilson and Winks); C. 0.8. v. Massey College, Park Road No. 1, 1.40 p.m. (Messrs Lew and Matthews). Ladies.—o. and C. Glen Oroua, Milverton Park. 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Aitchison and Byers); H.S.O.G. v. Bunnythorpe, at Bunnythorpe, 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Martin and Hoare). ASSISTANCE AT TOURNEYS. The Manawatu Hockey Umpires’ Association met on Friday night when Mr H. D. Milne, presided. Others present were Messrs I. Gerrand, F. McLachlan, W. H. Wilson, D. Wilton, W. J. Fitzgerald. L. Martin, R. Hoare, H. Bvers, A. E. Blackbourn, L. V. Winks, E. PulIvn and M. Levy (lion. secretary). Apologies for non-attendance were received front- Miss Highfield and Messrs Chapman, Aitchison and Sutton. Mr L. V. Winks, who was a elected a member of the association, was accorded a welcome by the chairman. The lecture which was to have been given by Mr W. H. Wilson was deferred till' June 11. Invitations were received from the Bush Union Hockey Association for their tournament to be held at Woodville, also from the Feilding Hockey Association for their tournament to be held at Feilding, asking for Manawatu umpires to assist. Many members expressed their intention of assisting. In view of the special meeting of the Manawatu Hockey Association to be held the same evening a portion of the business was held over.
