MASSEY COLLEGE.
DAIRY DIPLOMA CLUB MEETS. A gathering of over 70 students, tho majority being members of the recently formed Diploma Club at Massey College, assembled at the Broadway Lounge on Tuesday evening and extended a hearty welcome to newcomers to the college. The president (Mr E. Booth) outlined the objects of the club, while executive jnembers of the various other clubs also spoke, detailing the benefits to be gained by association with them and inviting support. Air W. Smith, factory superintendent, after welcoming the new students, pointed out the advantages which they had over the earlier workers in the industry and urged them to ta.ke every opportunity of preparing themselves for the responsible positions that would have to be filled in the future.
Community singing under the leadership of Mr Smith, with Air J. Wright at the piano, proved very popular, and supper was served. A vote of thanks to the president was moved by Air K. Cave and carried by acclamation.
