OBSTETRICAL HOSPITAL.

MR COATES’S ATTITUDE

Per Press Association

DUNEDIN, May 25

“There is no need for anyone to become agitated about the matter, because the Government, too, is anxious to have it cleared up,” said Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates to a representative deputation this morning which urged that finality should be reached on the question of the financing and erection of a new obstetrical hospital. Mr Coates contended that the hospital was a national institution and promised to confer with the Minister of Health in the hope of reaching a settlement.

After attending a luncheon tendered by the Manufacturers’ Association, Mr Coates left in the afternoon for the north.
