WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. No marked changes were seen yesterday in the Wellington stock and share market, which was generally firm and active. Government loans continued to advance, and the sellers who came in had very strong ideas of values, their quotations showing good margins over buyers’ bids. Banks showed minor fluctuations. Gas and insurance shares were very firm. Queensland Insurance sold to 695, and ■South British were again done at 80s. New Zealands advanced to 62s 3d, Standards to 635, and Nationals to 20s 3d, no sellers showing. There was a good demand for breweries 'and miscellaneous shares. Dominion Fertilisers sold at 17s lOd, and Farmers’ Fertilisers at 18s 9d and 18s Bid. Mining shares were slightly more active. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
