£12,600 ON RELIEF.
KAIRANGA COUNTY DISTRICT. The announcement that during the year ended March 31 expenditure under the No. 5 scheme in the county district had totalled £12,636 8s 9d was made by the acting-engineer (Mr L. C. Pickering) at the annual meeting of the Kairanga County Council, this afternoon. The amount spent on highways was. stated to have lieen £2377 2s 6d, and on the “over-the-fence” (No. 5a scheme) £3562 6s 3d.
