DOLLFUSS’S CLOSE CALL. DISCOVERY OF BOMB. PLOTTERS IN ACTION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 11, 12.40 p.m. SALZBURG, May 10. Police watchfulness foiled a determined plot to murder Dr Dollfuss, the Chancellor. Just before liis arrival at an official celebration at the aerodrome a search of the grounds resulted in the discovery of a bomb under bushes twenty yards from the reception hall. The bomb contained fourteen pounds of dynamite and a clockwork fuse. The detection averted an extensive loss of life.

Foes of the Dollfuss regime also tore up the railway track over which travelled special trains conveying Government supporters, who narrowly escaped disaster.
