imMr' (From Our Own Correspondent-.) CARNARVON, April 18. %*s■■■ night tho annual meeting of the *i householders was held. Mr G. R. McIKenzio was in the chair. The report and balance-sheet were adopted on tho motion S' of the chairman, Mr Quinlan seconding the motion. Tho school accounts were fully explained in detail and- all present expressed themselves as satisfied with them. Mr P. T._ Scott suggested that the incoming committee go into the matter of having the bank cnargo of the trust account reduced. There were six nominations to fill five vacancies on the committee for the next two years. _ The ballot resulted in tho following being elected:—Messrs S. Armitage, F. J. Thomson, E. R. Gennills, F. M. Luxford and H. Maxwell. After the meeting terminated the new committee met to elect a chairman and secretary, Mr Armitage being elected to the chairmanship and Mr Gennills to tho position of secretary and treasurer. Of the above committee Mr Ef. Maxwell is the new member. Prior to Dir McKenzie vacating the cliair, he was asked to reconsider his decision not to seek re-election on the committee. Mr McKenzie regretted his inability to do so and paid a tribute to tho maimer in which Mr Gennills had hept the books. He also thanked his fellow members for the way in which all had worked for the_ good of the school. Miss Flavell and Miss Price kindly acted as scrutineers for the ballot. Mrs Teague has returned from a visit Hra to Palmerston North. The friends of Mrs Armitage will regret to learn that she is 'f iU confined to her bed. Mr and Mrs Binns, dS of Auckland, were visitors to Carnarvon ip’! last Friday, when they wore the guests of Mr Teague.
