Ho added: “I hope that, if attacked, they will defend themselves. They ar© not cowards.” The Left members of. the commission immediately created an uproar, shouting “Alurderer! Assassin! Trow him out of the window.” Admiral Schwerer declared that the aim of the 70,000 members of the Action Francaise was to overthrow the Republic which was leading France to ruin.
