PRESIDENT’S EXAMPLE.

ENLISTING NEW MEMBERS. A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. Stating that he had set himself the personal task of securing at least one hundred new members, and urging others to make every effort to strengthen the membership, Mr D. Collis nominated 45 new members at the meeting of the general committee of the Man awn tu and West Coast A. and P. Association yesterday afternoon. Applause greeted the announcement of this exemplary act by the new president, who had taken office last week. This was one of his first official actions.

Mr W. G. Black said that, following this splendid lead, each committee member should definitely undertake to secure ten new members before the Winter Show. He was prepared to do that himself.
