LIQUOR LAWS BROKEN

RESIDENTS OF EASTBOURNE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 18. Several residents of Eastbourne pleaded guilty in the Lower Hutt Court to-day to charges of selling beer without a license as a result of a police raid. William Hollway was fined £5, Ralph Cecil Neville Robinson £3, and his wife, Margaret Robinson, ordered to pay costs. Arthur Walling was fined £5, Hubert Coombes £3, and his wife, Mary Coombes, ordered to pay costs for being on Hollway’s premises for the purpose of illegally dealing in liquor, and William Henry Chappell was convicted and ordered to pay costs.
