GANGSTER’S COMPLAINT
CONFESSION AVAILS NAUGHT. Sentenced to 30 years’ gaol, a gangster filled the Courthouse at Charlotte (North Carolina) with frantic, but vain, howls that he had been promisee! immunity for a confession that sent another gangster behind the bars Isaac' Costner was a member of the famous Tuohy gang, which kidnapped Factor, and on his confession Basil Banghart was sentenced in Chicago to life imprisonment for that crime. Temporarily free himself, Costner was arrested at tho prison door by Noith Carolina police, and was sentenced to 30 years for a £20,000 mail robbery last November. “Some day we shall make the robbing of mails and kidnapping hanging offences,” said the Judge, as Costner was led away.
