LARWOOD’S INJURY
RESTRICTS HIS BOWLING. NO FAST DELIVERIES. LOOKING WONDERFULLY FIT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 17, 9.50 a.m. LONDON, April 16. Looking wonderfully fit, Larwood reported at Trentbridge. He did not don flannels, presumably because the turf was too soft and ho would not test his bowling. Hundreds of spectators sought admission to the ground, but only the Press was allowed to enter. Larwood declared that his foot feels well and no longer arches, as it did before the operation. The Daily Herald says: The problem of Larwood’s foot remains unanswered. Ho says: “So many people seem to know more than I do. Bowling slowly to boys in a London store is as much as I dr.ie attempt for some time yet. ft would be loolish to risk even the shortest spell of really fast bowling. What practice 1 undertake will be of a mild nature. I may work up gradually to speed. I don’t know. It may take weeks.” Nevertheless, Larwood is feeling fit and his foot gives no trouble.
