MR COATES DEFERS STATEMENT. (By Telegraph. —Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, April 17. “Recriminations will not help with the important question at this stage,” declared Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates when his attention was called to the statement that he had suggested superseding the Hairy Board with a Commission of three. “Later on,” concluded Mr Coates, who iiatly declined to discuss whether the report was well-founded, “my views will be clearly stated to the dairy industry and the public generally.”
