RETURNS FROM WOOL
IMPROVED POSITION. TABLES OF COMPARISON. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 16. The New Zealand Woolbrokers’ Association advises that at the end of February the 17 sales held had returned £7,560,863, so that the six sales held during March gave a gross realisation of £1,805,263, bringing the total for the 23 roster sales of the 1933-34 season up to £9,366,126, which is actually £1,645,335 more than the total of £7,720,791 for the whole of the roster sales of the two previous seasons. There are still tho five April sales to be accounted for, so that a total of over £10,000,000 for the season is practically certain. The gross realisation of the wool sold in the Dominion at, the roster wool sales (November-April) for the whole of the previous fivo seasons compare as follow with those for the 23 sales of this season to March 31 : Season £ 1928- 11,877,305 1929- 4,906,453 1930- 3,403,528 1931- ... ... c,516,361 1932- *'■ 204,430 1933- (to March 31) 9,366,126 The following table shows the average prices per bale and per pound worked out over the whole Dominion for the last nine seasons, and for the first 12 sales of this season:
