ESCAPE FROM SHARK.

MAN’S PLUCKY SWIM. Received April 16, 10.30 a.m. BRISBANE, April 16. Frank Lett, aged 34, who was surfing at Currumbin Beach, Southport, was attacked by a shark and had his left leg badly lacerated. Although the arteries and tendons were severed, Ilett kicked vigorously and found his leg released. Ho swam thirty yards to the snore unaided and was admitted to hospital. H© was operated on and is expected to recover.
