EARTHQUAKE LOANS
PROVISION FOR £25,000. Per Press Association. PAHIATUA, April 14. Hon. E. A. Hansom has advised the Mayor that Cabinet has decided to place on the Estimates an item of £25,000 from which may be made loans for necessitous cases in the earthquake area. A special committee consisting of the Minister of Finance, the Secretary to the Treasury, and the UunedSecretnries of Public Works and Lands Departments had been set up to consider and determine applications.
