CONSTABLE ASSAULTED.

HARD LABOUR SENTENCE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 15. Frederick Hector Armisnaw appeared before Mr Bartholomew in the Police Court yesterday on charges of using obscene language, assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty, and wilfully damaging a constable’s trousers valued at £1 13s. He was fined £2 for using obscene language, in defeault seven days’ iprisoninent and ordered to make good the damage to the constable’s trousers, in default seven day’s imprisonment, and sentenced to two months’ hard labour for assaulting the constable.
