DOMINION’S FUTURE.
MR BOLITHO’S BELIEFS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 16. “Except for writers, artists and scientific men, Europe does not offer any more advantages than New Zealand,” said Mr Hector Bolitho, the author, in addressing the pupils of the Seddon Technical College. He quoted Signor Mussolini, whom he once interviewed, as saying that the fault with European civilisation is that we are prone to the past at the expense of the future. M rßolitho advised his hearers to look forward to a life of quiet contentment rather than fame, and said the girls would be well-advised to take up cooking rather than writing. “New Zealand is blessed beyond any other country and there should be none happier in the world. Your future lies in New Zealand, where you can bring dignity and honour to whatever walk of life you take up,” he said.
