(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE, April 10. | The annual meeting of the Bunnythorpo I Miniature Rifle Club took place at the . range room on Monday.:'Mr W. B. Curtiss, who was second m the B grade championship. The club cham- J, pionship was won by W. Salmon who shot j very consistently, I. McKenzie being run-, ner-up. A miniature cup was donated by | Mr L. H. Curtiss and was won by W. | Salmon. A challenge shield for competition between clubs m the southern section was made and donated by Mr L. C. Shailer, the shield being successfully dc-1 fended against the Awahuri Club. The*
. season concluded in October with a very satisfactory credit balance.” The balancesheet showed receipts at £55 9s sd, and expenditure £45 Bs, leaving a credit balance .of £lO Is sd. Rosvall; delegates to Manawatu Association, Alcssrs L. Shailer and 11. Gore; auditor, Mr W. B. Duthic; committee, Messrs R. Park, L. Curtiss, C. McKenzie, R. Gore and officers ex officio; coach, Mr i L. Shailer; secretary, Mr A. O’Donnell, i It was decided to open the season on the 16th inst. A vote of thanks was accorded the retiring secretary, Mr A. O’DonI ncll, who declined re-election, for his past ! services. I The final meeting of the School CouiI mittcc took place on Monday. Present; —■ Alcssrs A. O’Donnell (chairman), O. Jack- • son, G. Duthic, F. McKenzie and R. C. I Powell. The headmaster's report showed I tho roll number to be 90 and the average attendance 87. The visiting committee’s '.report was received, everything being in
good order. Accounts amounting to £3 13s 6d were passed for payment. General business was considered. The chairman expressed thanks to the hoadmastcr (Mr Abraham) and tho staff, and to his fellow committee members, for the assistance rendered him during the past year. The Tennis Club donated two medals fer the runners-up in the school tennis competition (boys and girls) and were accorded a vote of thanks. The annual meeting of the Bunnvthorpe Ladies’ Hockey Club will take place at an early date to make arrangements for the coming season.
