At a meeting of the New South Wales Rugby Union a letter was read from South Africa accepting the invitation to tour New Zealand arid Australia in 1937, subject to satisfactory arrangements being made. The council resolved that, as the New Zealand Union was the initiating body of the invitation, it should continue the negotiations with South Africa, providing the Australian Unions were consulted before any matters of importance were decided.
