fVrom Our Own Correspondent.) TE ARAKURA, March 12. The March committee meeting of the T« Arakura Women’s Institute was held last Wednesday at Mrs J. J- s rc W donee. Mrs Griffith (the president) was in the chair and Mcsdames Thomas, Bradley, Baxter, J. Hume and Whisker, and Misses Bailev, Lewcr, and Hansen were present. Mrs Griffith and Miss Hansen were elected to attend the group- meeting at banson on the following Fridays Suggestion, for competitions at future meetings were: April, three pikelets; May, best articles from lvd cretonne, sixpence being allowed for trimmings. Roll-calls: VVhat I Did When the Earthquake Occurred, me Biggest Muddle I. Have Ever Been In. Members are reminded of the monthly meeting to be held at Mrs J. H. Bennett* residence on Wednesday, when a trading stall will be hold. Mrs Bradlev expressed thanks to the president and the secretary on behalf of the members of .the committoe for their excellent rendered during the year. Mrs Griffith thanked the committee for thc.r co-opera-tion also the hostesses at the committee meeting, and finally wished the incoming president and committee every success. A vote of thanks was extended to Mrs Hume at the close of the meeting.
