SALE OF CAR.

Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, March 9. A plea of guilty was entered by John Timothy O’Shea, aged 27, who was charged with obtaining £35 at Christchurch by falsely representing that a motor car was his own and unencumbered. The police said accused bought the car on the hire purchase system and sold it before completing the payments, subsequently meeting two further instalments. Accused said he had been told he could sell the car and pay the money as lie liked. The Court admitted him to probation for two years and ordered him to pay £1 a week to the person to whom he sold the car until the debt was extinguished.
