AIR MAIL TRAFFIC.

UNIFORM CHARGES IMPRAC- • TICABLE.

Received November 30, 2.45 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 29. In the House of Commons Sir Ernest Bennett informed Mr O. E. Simmonds that in view of the rapid increase in air mail traffic he could not agree that varying rates restricted the use thereof. It was impracticable to adopt uniform rates, because the charges were fixed in relation to the costs of conveyance.
