DEATH IN HOSPITAL.
NEW ZEALAND AIRWOMAN. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nor. 30. The death has occurred in the Rotherham Hospital, following an illness, of Mrs Alf. Brustad, formerly Miss Aroha Clifford. Prior to her marriage Mrs Brustad was a flying enthusiast and was well known in aviation circles. Mrs Brustad was 25 years of age. Her death followed the birth of a son two days ago. She was New Zealand’s first woman pilot. Her husband was a former guide at Mount Cook.
