MINE ACCIDENT.
ALLOCATION OF DAMAGES. Per Press Association. WAIHI, Nov, 30. The assessors allocated this morning the following amounts to nine of the men injured when a cage fell over 1000 feet at the Waihi mine on July 26, the awards in all cases being below the amounts claimed, which totalled over £4ooo:—Arnold, £203 and costs £l6 13s; S. Follas, £lB3 7s (£l2 3s); Kemp, £258 Is (£l9 2s); Shergold, £221 12s (£l9 7s 6d); Johnson, £205 9s 6d (£l6 9s); Thornton, £lB3 17s (£ll 3s 6d): F. E. Comes, £4lB 16s (£25 3s 6d); H. G. Cornes, £383 8s (£27 9s); Coward, £452 Is (£26 15s).
