ORANGE FREE STATE VISITATION. CAPETOWN. Nov. 29. A Bloemfontein message states that a terrific hurricane struck parts of the south-eastern Free State. Roofs of farm houses were carried awav. trees were uprooted, and stock thrown down. Tlie hurricane was followed by a destructive hailstorm, destroying wheat crops and all fruit. Darkness reigned for thirty minutes, and the inhabitants were terrified. At Smithfield the roof of a native isolation hospital was blown 700 yards away. Trees of all sizes and outi houses were razed.
