STOCK ENDANGERED.

YARDS ON FIRE. ■ CHICAGO, Nov. 28. Fire broke out in the stockyards today, endangering thousands of cattle, liogs and sheep left over in the pens as a result of the strike by the liyestock handlers. Twenty-five fire companies are combating the flames. Operations at the Union Stockyards, it was reported on Tuesday, were paralysed by a strike of the Livestock Handlers’ Union. There was no open and the Department of Agriculture issued no quotations. It is estimated that 7000 men are striking. The strikers demand the return of 1919 wages. Many are reported to bo getting weekly cheques of only 7 dollars 50 cents to 12 dollars 50 cents. Some 40,000 hogs, 16,000 cattle, and 17,000 sheep are already awaiting unloading.
