INTER-’VARSITY SPORTS.

NEW ZEALANDERS FIGURE. LONDON, Nov. 25. Oxford, with events, defeated Cambridge, with 2£, in the inter-’Var-sity relays. The most outstanding performance was Oxford’s win in the two miles race by 40 yards, the time being 7min. 56 1 2-ssec., which is a record for the contests. In this Oxford was assisted by J. E. Lovelock, who also helped to win . the four miles race.

Another New Zealander, Gresson, assisted Cambridge to dead-heat in the 400 yards race. Gresson and a Melbourne student, Loxton, were included among the unsuccessful Cambridge competitors in the half-mile and low hurdles.
