(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Nov. 20. - In a tennis match between Otaki and Levin on Saturday, Levin secured a win by 10 sets to 6, and 107 games to 87. Playing for the Buckles (bowling) on Saturday Warnock, Hurrell, Beauchamp, Childs (skip) beat Symonds, Morton, Watford, Bailey (skip), 36 —12, Games for the “rule” ' were played last week. Symonds beat Warnock, who has hold the trophy since the start of the season, Symonds also beat Bailey, 26 —20, but was beaten by Capewoli, 22—21. The death occurred at Wellington on Friday of Norman, second son of Mrs Bennett, Wacrenga Road, Otaki. Deceased, who was a very popular young man, underwent an operation on Friday. The funeral took place at Otaki yesterday, when there was a representative following. Tho death occurred at Paraparaumu this morning of Mrs McWhirter, aged 80 years. The deceased lady had lived in the district for some time.
