i SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCERT. The Sunday school anniversary celebrations at the Cuba Street Methodist Gliurch were concluded on. Friday: night when an enjoyable concert was presented to a large audience. A very satisfactory report on the year’s operations was also given. The following was the programme presented: Violin solo, Elsie Hancox; recitation, Ken Newlands; character song, Bill Richards (guitar accompaniment by Miss Lorna Perrin) ; recitation, “Lovely Lady,” June Cowlisliaw; vocal solo, Miss N. Whittaker; character recitation, “Ten Little Nigger Boys,” David Dorset and company; recitation, Gwen Hancox: duet, Misses Norah Cowlishaw and Olive Cottam; dialogue, “A Nice Holiday,” Mrs Murdoch’s class; action song, “Six Little Mothers,” infants trained by Miss G. Richards; vocal solo, Miss Myrtle Vining; action song, Mrs_ Dorset’s class; character sketch, “Visit to a Farm,” Sunday school teachers and Bible class leaders; vocal solo, Marjorie Redward; dialogue, intermediate girls’ Bible class (Miss V. Hansen leader) ; recitation, Marcia Jarrett"; duet. Misses Myrtle and Ida Vining; recitation, “Six-Year-Old of Saturday Night,” Margaret Boniface; song in, unison, Miss Ward’s class: dialogue, intermediate boys’ Bible class (Mr P. Gourlay leader) ; “Good Night’.’ hymn, Sunday school scholars, teachers and Bible class members. Rev. H. L. Richards (minister of the church) and Mr T. R. Hodder (superintendent) referred to the year’s progress and expressed satisfaction at the work accomplished.
