QUEEN CARNIVAL.
POSITIONS UNCHANGED. Although heavy polling is reported, no change took place in the positions of the candidates in the Queen Carnival to-day. Despite the fact that the bonus to the leader is 400 votes each day this week, the various committees are evidently deeming it wise to withhold funds from the declaration, but it is regarded as sure that from now on there will be even greater interest taken in the placing 9. The positions are: Public Services Queen 1 Plunket and Nursing Services Queen 2 Sports Queen 3 Farmers’ Queen 4 Retailers’ Queen 5
