An unusual point of view was p>resented by a defendant to a charge of having an unlicensed radio set, when a case camo before Mr J. S. Barton, S.M., at Lower Hutt to-day. Defendant wrote a letter and tno Magistrate, after reading it, said the chargo was regarded by defendant as a summons for the recovery of a debt. Persons wore required to obtain licenses before their sets were operating. In imposing a fine of .Cl, Mr Barton asked for publication of tiro facts of the case.
