YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Little change rvas scon in the Wellington stock and sbaro market yesterday, prices being steady at last week’s closing rates. Government loans and local body debentures were fairly active with more sellers showing, and there was a slight firming in some cases. Banks were quietly steady. Australasias were reported sold at £l2 15s 6d. Commercial of Sydney were done late on Saturday at £l7 17s 6d, and buyers were in yesterday at £l7 15s. New Zealands wero firm at 46s 3d, and others showed no change. Pastorals, gas, insurance, and meat shares were practically unchanged on a slow demand. South British Insurance had a sale at 71s 9d.
