(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONGBURN, Oct. 20. The final euchre tournament and dance Organised by the Anglican Church Ladies’ -.Guild was held in the hall-on Friday’ evening. There was a large attendance of both card players and dancers, and a most enjoyable evening eventuated. After supper had been served Rev. F. O. Ball thanked those present for their attendance and also

the Ladies’ Guild for their assistance at the functions held dux-ing the season. .The winners of the euchre prizes were Mrs Larsen and Mr J. Holland, and consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs Day and Mr K. . Palmer. The aggregate prizes were won by Mi’s Richardson and Mr B. Pratt. A cake donated by Mrs W. Grace was won by Miss T. Lemberg. Mrs G. Reed, of Ivarcre, is an inmate of the Hospital, and her friends wish her a speedy recovery to health. Miss C. Rowland has left for Marton to fuffil a temporary position on the staff of the Marton District High School.
