JOURNEY TO MELBOURNE. Received October 31, 1.10 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 30. Sir Benjamin Fuller left here hurriedly on his return to Australia, suddenly changing his plans, having hoped but failed to secure a passage on the Graf Zeppelin for Europe. He is flying by seaplane to Kingston (Jamaica), thence to Cristobel and Balboa to catch the Karitane at Panama on November 2 en route to Sydney, via New Zealand. “As unofficial ambassador to the centenary of Melbourne,” he addressed several clubs in New York, inviting members to visit the celebrations “at their own expense.” He expressed his interest in several theatrical hits.
