CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS.

Notwithstanding the broadcast decision of the Drapers’ Association to observe the Friday preceding Christmas as Christmas Eve, closing on Saturday as usual at 12 noon, local retailers. will not he participating in this arrangement. It is recognised that no departure from the usual late Saturday night is necessary as far as Palmerston North is concerned, and the local retailers have decided that the Christmas Eve shopping night will be Saturday, December 23.
