FRESHENING A SPONGE.

Tire usual method of cleaning a sponge—soda and hot water —will no doubt freshen it up, but in nothing like the same way as the following process, which will make it as good as new again. Pour a pint of cold water and half a cupful of glycerine into a basin. Soak the sponge in this for ten minutes. Then squeeze it out and allow it to dry slowly. All its original freshness and elasticity will be restored.
