Crochet for Curtains. —The fashion for crochet-trimmed sash curtains is with us once more, and here we give instructions for very pretty, and simple curtain bands, as well as for a curtain beading. A Curtain Band. —Material: No. 40 silk crochet, shade amber or ochre. A No. 20J crochet hook. Abbreviations: Sp., space; exten., extension; ch., chain; tr., treble. Begin with 34 ch. Make 3 ch. for the first tr. in each row. Ist row.—ll block. 2nd. row. —11 block, 6 ch., exten. 3rd row.- —2 block on the exten., 2 block, 7 sp., 4 block, for the third block in 1 block on the side edge ot the second block, for the 4th block make 1 block on the edge of the third block. 4th row. —4 block, 7 sp.. 4 block, 6 ch., exten. sth row. —2 block on the exten., 2 block, 4 sp., 3 block, 4 sp., 4 block—the last two blocks made as in the third row. 6th row. —4 block, 4 sp., 1 block, 1 sp., 1 block, 4 sp., 4 block. 7th row. —2 block, 4 sp., 3 block, 1 sp., 3 block, 4 sp., 2 block.
