“BEST IN WORLD.”
NEW ZEALAND NEWSPAPERS. WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. Compliments to the Press of New Zealand are not frequently paid from the floor of the House of Representatives, but Mr E. E. Healy had a word of praise yesterday for what he said were tho best newspapers in the world. “Tlie public are quite in the dark as to why the newspapers were prohibited from publishing dividends,” said Mr Healy. when introducing the Gaming Amendment Bill. "We should feel proud of our Press. No other country has a Press superior to our own, yet our Press is gagged with respect to publishing dividends. We have to wait for the arrival of the Australian papers to see the dividends in print. The position is absurd.”
