FINAL MATCH OF THE SEASON. MANAAVATU v. WAIRARAPA. The final representative fixture for the 1933 season, where Manawatu is concerned, will be presented at Masterton on Saturday when the second of the home-and-home fixtures with Wairarapa will be played. The following team has been selected by Mr A. W. Thompson to do duty for Manawatu : Full-back.—Mackay. Three-quarters Strange, Bramwell, Elliott. Five-eighths Findlay, Waldin (captain). Half-back.—Metcalfe. Back row. —Hight. Centre row.—Ward, McKenzie, Mitchell, McClelland. Front row.—Fade, Crawford, Nesbit. Emergencies.—Backs : Ormond, J. McKenzie. Forwards: Smith, Kerrigan. LAST MATCH OF SEASON. Saturday finds the last Rugby match of the season being staged on tho oval at 2.15 p.m. when the opposing team's will be the two champion -juniors teams, Paraparaumu (Horowhenua) and Old Boys (Manawatu); This meeting will bo for tho champion of champions in the two districts for the Rowland Cup. As both teams have a reputation for playing good, open football, tho spectators can expect something good this Saturday. The cup was first presented in 1926 by Messrs D. and W. Rowland, of Tiakitahuna, to he played for by the champion junior teams of Manawatu and Horowhenua, and was first won by tho Feilding Old Boys. Since then it lias been won by tho following clubs: 1927, P.N. High School; 1928, Hui Mai (Horowhenua); 1929, Kia Toa; 1930, Kia Toa B and Foxton; 1931, Old Boys A; 1932, Woodville.
