Veitcli asked whether, in view of the importance of the question involved in the Banks Indemnity (Exchange) Repeal Bill, the Government would take it up as a Government measure or, alternatively, give the House facilities to reach a vote on it. Rt. Hon. G. AV. Forbes said tlie Government did not propose to take up the.Bill. Mr Veitcli must take his chance with other members so far p.s the Bill’s progress through the House was concerned. Air F. Langstone: He knows wliat that chance will he.” (Laughter.)
