EAST MAIL ’PLANE.

A DUTCH SYSTEM. Received September 27, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 26. In contrast with the relatively low speeds on the Anglo-Australian service, Holland has constructed a tripleengined Pander mail carrier with a maximum speed of 230 miles per hour and a cruising speed of 186 miles per hour and a range of 1600 miles. It is expected to reach Batavia in four days. The venture is organised by a committee aiming at a faster postal service between Holland and the East Indies.
