PLAY READING.
A play, reading of a commendably high standard was presented by the drama circle of the Women’s Psychology Club, in the Y.W.C:A. club room, Broadway, last night, to an appreciative audience. “The Romantic Age,” by A. A. Milne, was the play chosen, and was produced under the direction of Mrs M. Howley, the caste being as follows: —Melisande, Mrs Mabel Howley; Mary Knowle, Mrs W. Oates; Jane, Miss lone Christian; Bobby, Miss Ferol Howley; Ern, Miss Audrey Oates; Alice, Mrs Rough; Gentleman Susan, Miss Doris Frame; Gervase Mallory, Mrs McEwen; Henry Knowle, Mrs Z. Garten. During the evening enjoyable vocal solos were rendered by Miss Iris Pollard, Mr C. Clinton providing the incidental music. Those supervising the excellent supper that was served after the performance were:—Mesdames H. E. Bennett, T. Smith, Lamont, Collis, and Miss Billens.
