FAMOUS SHORTHORNS.

LOAV PRICE BROUGHT. Received September 27, 11.55 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 26. Sir Goiner Berry’s famous herd ot beef Shorthorns were auctioned at Pendley Farm and revealed an astonishing fall in prices compared with 1930. Sixty-two lots totalled 2363 guineas, the highest price being 200 guineas for the leader of the herd, Pendley Lord Ramsden, which was sold to go to Australia. Its sire, Basildon Rosicrucian, was sold to Australia in 1930 for Zoo*j guineas. Many magnificent cows and heifers were sold at 10 to 25 guineas apiece, of which some were bought for tlie King’s herd at Windsor.
